There’s a little quilt shop on my way to Louisiana from Missouri. I never have time to stop because I’ve always driven the 12 hours straight through but this time, I was only driving half way, spending a night and then driving the rest of the way. I was looking so forward to stopping in that little shop but . . it was a disappointment. Not much fabric, mostly calico type fabric that I don’t use so I visited with the shop owner for a few minutes and left without buying anything. I was kinda dreading having to report my purchases but I left there feeling quite proud of myself. Nothing added! Hear that? I left a quilt shop with no fabric!

Left a quilt shop with no fabric?! Who are you, and what have you done with Judy?!

that is great – I am an impluse shopper and hate to leave the stores empty handed so you did good.

Well done resisting temptation! I didn’t buy any fabric this week, either — but I did buy another sewing machine! Here’s my stash report! Hope you’re having a great visit with your folks.

Sorry to leave that twice — Mr. Linky wasn’t showing up the first time I was here.

Doesn’t that feel weird? Like you did something wrong. Did you feel guilty about not buying anything? Even after you talked to the owner? It’s hard to believe that you could go into a quilt shop and not find anything to your taste. I remember that one time I went in to a shop and I don’t think they had any newer fabric for the last 5 years.

You did good, kiddo!! I’d say you have this stash busting thing licked!!

Glad you left without fabric, I went to Mankato to give a talk on HeartStrings and visited 2 quilt shops and trust me, I left with fabric!
