I love it when others send me pictures of quilts they’ve made from my designs. It’s really fun for me when I see that someone has taken my basic idea and made a few changes to enhance the design or make it their own.
Quite a few years ago, I met “Lady Baltimore” through an internet quilt group. She does gorgeous applique. She does gorgeous piecing too but the applique especially impresses me because I can do halfway decent piecing (most days!) but my applique stinks! Lady “B” made a few changes to the Starlight Path pattern in my book, Nine Patch Extravaganza (if you don’t have it, you need it!). Love her colors!
She added appliqued bird blocks to the four corners of the flying geese border. Aren’t they beautiful?
Lady B also added a brown outer border but it was added after the photo was taken.
Thanks, Lady B. for making my pattern and thanks for the pictures!

Oh, here colors are so soothing! I love it! The little birds are just perfect!
I have your book and I was wondering if I could send it to you so that you can autograph it for me? I bought it from Amazon the minute that it was released. Shame on me though, as I haven’t made anything out of it yet. Just browse through the pages and dream of future creations. :~)

Lady B does awesome work! I am the lucky recipient of a quilt she made! You two make a dynamite team!

The prices are already going up here. A jelly roll was 29.00, now it is 35.00 according to our quilt shop owner. I sure wish the economy ship would right itself! I absolutely love those birds!
