Chad came home this afternoon with this caterpillar on his shirt.
Here’s a better picture someone else took of one. Chad didn’t want me to use my flash because he was afraid I’d blind it! Good grief!
Doesn’t it look like some kind of alien? It lifts its head and looks around . . really weird! I’ve never seen anything like this. Chad googled it and it’s going to be a silver spotted skipper butterfly (which looks more like a moth to me).
Look at those eyes!
Poor Chad! He’s so tender hearted. He put it in a jar with some leaves (I was telling him to flush it down the toilet because it looked so scary!). He was standing there looking at it and he said “It doesn’t have a very bright future, does it?” My goodness, child! If you’ve noticed the price of groceries and gas lately, that darned caterpillar is probably better off than we are! 🙂
I give up. Thought I was going to finish the star quilt tonight but it’s almost 1:00 a.m. and I’m not done and I’m tired.

I know he’s one of God’s creations, but — ew!!! Neat pictures, and it’s fun to see what he’s going to be when he grows up!
A hug to Chad for being tender-hearted!
Ewww, outside he’d go if I had any say in it! LOL
