The Campers Are Back

Just the Boys

Just the Boys

They’re tired, they’re dirty (very dirty) and they’ve been wet!  There ended up being 8 boys and 2 girls (that’s the story I got).  When they got the weather forecast for last night, one group of them left and the girls were in that group.  One of the boys said “they caught the first ride home!”  I’m not sure where they were camping but there were no showers.  They bathed in the river and Chad, being the city boy that he is, couldn’t wait to get home and get a hot shower.  I’m betting they all sleep really good in their own beds tonight.

Tent in the Back Yard

Tent in the Back Yard

Chad set up the tent in the backyard and cleaned it out.  This is the tent we bought one year when we decided to camp.  Vince isn’t much of a camper and we used it once . . maybe twice.  Chad has used it more in the last year than we did in the 10 years before that.

Beautiful Cardinal

And, look who’s sitting on the sidelines watching all the action!

I’m glad to have Chad home.  Don’t laugh at me but this was the longest he’s been gone when I haven’t been able to talk to him.  It didn’t help that there were so many storms either!
